The Bible is God's Holy Word

II Timothy 3:14-17 (ESV)

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.  All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

The Gospel
Jesus died as payment for our sins that we may be forgiven and healed. He rose from the dead as a promise that we will be raised to life.  He gave us His Holy Spirit as confirmation that He will be with us forever.

Romans 1:1-6 (ESV)

Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations, including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.

Christ's Return and Kingdom
We look to Jesus Christ as the one and true authority, whom every knee will bow.  However, He does not force anyone to love Him.  God knows that without Him, people die.  He is the source of life.  In His love, God is not willing that any perish.

Revelation 21:3-4 (ESV)

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.  He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

The Gathering of Believers
We gather together as the Body of Christ.  When the people of God gather together, we are able to grow and worship God.

Hebrews 10:23-25 (ESV)

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

The church was founded by Christ Jesus and is nearly 2000 years old.  Throughout that time, there have been a lot of doctrines adopted by the church.  Some edifying and some probably not, but one thing is for sure, we adopt and live by what we believe.  So, it is important to recognize right doctrine and to live by it because we will be held accountable for our beliefs and how we walk them out.  How we choose to love God and treat others are the most important doctrinal beliefs that we will be held accountable for.
